Since 2010 Bourchier Ltd has been editing, designing, printing and translating publications – nationally, for example for the British Academy, the Ashmolean Museum and Bodleian Library in Oxford, and worldwide for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Zentrum Moderner Orient in Berlin and a host of university presses and private and governmental foundations. Two of many such books are illustrated here. The high level of experience and expertise of the people we work with and for, together with the Bourchier technical tools at hand, have inspired us to create Bourchier Books.
Ethos and guiding principles
Our books focus on two conceptual themes: the pursuit of perfection and the power inherent in working together. This choice of themes originates in our response to the awareness and perception illuminating the books we have worked on. It is no coincidence that the Bourchier motto is coniunctum bene gerere (‘together we get it right’).
Bourchier Books and Bourchier Ltd are separate and independent companies. Both are located in the Cotswolds, close to William Morris’s Kelmscott and Ashbee’s Chipping Campden.
